All the parodies I can really seem to write revolve around Harry Potter. Dunno why; I guess Harry Potter is flexible and easy to work with here. Haha! Sing to the tune of “Do You Believe in Magic?” If you are a kid who isn’t familiar with this song, this is a song from the sixties. Ask your parents about this or look it up on YouTube.
Do you believe in magic?
In a wizard’s mind,
How the magic separates them from all the other kind.
And it’s magic,
If your hand can bloom a flower,
Or conjure with your wand and concentrated power.
I’ll tell you about the magic; it can set you off on a broom–
Or it can be trying to spray a Muggle with smelly perfume.
If you’re a wizard of magic, there’s so much to choose,
Except your wand will choose you, but don’t make any blues.
You’ll go to Hogwarts, if you’re born in the UK.
It’ll start with a solid wall (to the eye),
That you’ll have to run through, and it’s not so hard to try.
The train starts running, and you can’t seem to find,
How it can get here, so just blow your mind.
If you’re a wizard of magic, come along with me,
We’ll cast spells until morning, just you and me.
And maybe, if the times are right,
I’ll meet you tomorrow at morning tight.
We’ll go flying brooms and baby, then you’ll see,
How the magic’s in everything and the magic’s in me, yeah!
Do you believe in magic? Yeah.
Believe in the magic of a wizard’s mind,
Believe how it sets them from all the other kind,
Believe in the magic that can make time turn,
Oh, talkin’ ’bout magic.
Do you believe like I believe?
Are you a wizard of magic?
